To celebrate the launch of Reflex Press, we’re inviting flash fiction and short story submissions for a charity anthology on the theme of beginnings.
All net proceeds from sales of the anthology will go to First Story, a charity that changes lives through writing. Visit the First Story website to learn more about this fantastic organisation.
Submission Guidelines
- Theme: beginnings. We encourage original, creative interpretations of the theme.
- Word Count: 100 to 3,000 words.
- Deadline: 28 February 2019.
- Format: we accept .doc, .docx, .rtf or .odt.
- Multiple submissions: yes, but no more than three submissions per author.
- Simultaneous submissions: yes, but please let us know as soon as possible if your submission is accepted elsewhere.
- Previously published: yes, but the author must own the print and eBook copyright and provide full details of any previous publication(s), including online. Previously unpublished work will receive first consideration.
- Formatting: our preference is double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12pt, with a single space after periods.
- Rights: authors shall grant Reflex Press non-exclusive rights for print and eBook publication.
- Payment: this one’s for charity, so accepted authors will not receive monetary payment.
- Contributor copies: contributors will receive one free print copy of the anthology.
