Reflex Press is seeking an editor to manage flash fiction submissions for online publication. Briefly here’s what the role will entail:
- Reading submissions.
- Selecting one piece to publish each week.
- Editing pieces for publication.
- Liaising with successful authors regarding edits.
- Scheduling posts on the Reflex Press website (experience with WordPress would be useful but not essential).
We expect the role to take no longer than one to two hours per week.
The role is unpaid, but for anyone looking for a career in publishing, or for a behind-the-scenes look at how the literary submission process works, the experience will be invaluable. We’ll also send you free copies of any books we publish during your tenure.
The position is remote (communication will be via email) and is open to applicants from any country.
The only requirement is that applicants have a passion for flash fiction and some experience reading and/or writing it.
